Vinyl Tile and Sheet Flooring

Vinyl Floor Ealing, Middlesex & West London

Vinyl floor tiles are made up from urethane and other layers suited for high wear factors; this makes it easy to clean and makes them highly durable.  There are different types of urethane, such as enhanced urethane that offer a much higher protection and are more expensive.

Other types like no-wax vinyl tiles are cheaper but do not have the same protection against daily wear and tear as vinyl flooring of higher quality. We sell a range of different coloured and textured vinyl tiles

Looking into vinyl flooring?

Vinyl floor sheets usually come in two different sizes: 6’ (1.83 metres) and 12’ (3.66 metres). They are constructed from a solid layer of material consisting of over 90% felt and the newer materials consist of fibreglass; these give a better cushioning effect.

Both types have an identical upper layer, which is constructed of a high wearing urethane. Then there is a clear layer of vinyl that helps to protect the upper surface against scratches and marks; this comes in a range of different thicknesses - the thickest being the most durable. The print layer offers the design and colour of the vinyl and usually consists of closely resembled natural minerals.

The main difference between the two types of vinyl flooring is the bottom layer where the felt is adhered to the floor. Fibreglass makes a better surface since it tends to lay more flat and does not curl; this also provides a more comfortable platform to walk on resembling a small cushion between the floor and your foot.
